The Caleuche Awards reached a milestone: their 10th anniversary. The event needed to feel celebratory, iconic, and worthy of a decade recognizing Chile’s film and television industry.

/Design Challenges

This edition had to stand apart. Celebrating ten years meant elevating the scale and emotional impact of the show, while maintaining the precision required for a live televised broadcast.

/Design Solutions

"The initial visual direction embraced a neon aesthetic inspired by Santiago’s nightlife. Building on this, we proposed the city itself as a central concept—transforming it into the stage’s backdrop. We designed a scenography that placed the audience “within” the city at night, enveloped by light, color, and atmosphere, as if the ceremony were unfolding under an urban night sky."

/Visual Design

"Using the city as our reference, we developed a series of dynamic backgrounds and assigned each award category its own neon color identity. Nominees were presented in black and white, creating contrast and focus against the vibrant palette. For the musical segments, visuals shifted toward glamour and glitter—drawing inspiration from classic 1950s Hollywood, adding a layer of timeless spectacle to the show."

/Lighting Design

"Lighting prioritized the presenters with warm, flattering tones, while the surrounding space was activated through accents of each category’s color. The musical performance was fully integrated with lighting cues, choreography, and staging—enhancing its sense of scale and spectacle."

/Conclusions

Live television is inherently unpredictable. Flexibility is key—design systems must remain modular, efficient, and optimized for fast rendering and real-time adjustments.

/Takeaway

Early access to the script is critical. It defines scope, timing, transitions, and ultimately the coherence of the entire show.
